Sunday Offering: Oklahoma Offers Over 20 High School Prospects in Busy Recruiting Week

The Sooners' recruiting staff has been busy recently, extending offers to a large number of high school players since last Sunday.

Oklahoma had one of its busiest recruiting weeks of the year over the past seven days.

With the Sooners coaching vacancies filled, new arrivals on campus and the 2024 recruiting class essentially finished for OU, Brent Venables and company have used the past week to travel around the country.

In their travels, Oklahoma coaches visited a number of high schools across the nation, offering a whopping 25 high school athletes between the 2025, 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes.

In the 2025 class, the Sooners' offered 14 prospects, starting with Rome (GA) linebacker Jaedon Harmon. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds, Harmon is rated the No. 125 overall prospect and the No. 17 linebacker in the upcoming recruiting cycle according to On3.

OU offered a handful of other junior prospects in the Peach State as well, with 4-star cornerback Devin Williams of Buford, 4-star Cedartown (GA) cornerback Tae Harris and Newton (GA) defensive line standout Ryshawn Perry all receiving offers from Zac Alley and company.

Harris was committed to Georgia until Sunday morning, when he announced his decommitment from the Bulldogs.

Oklahoma was not done in the region, however, extending offers to three juniors from Florida and two from Virgina. Most notably, Emmett Jones and company offered coveted wide receiver recruit Jaime Ffrench

Hailing from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Ffrench is one of the top 15 overall players and the No. 3 wide receiver in the 2025 class, per On3. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, the 5-star wideout decommitted from Alabama following Nick Saban's retirement.

OU's third offer to a junior in the Sunshine State went to Riverview, FL, product Cameron White. A standout linebacker at Sumner High School, White is listed at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds.

Closer to home, OU also extended offers to 2025 recruits in Missouri and Arkansas.

Jack Lange, a 4-star, 6-foot-8 offensive lineman from Eureka, MO, and Marcus Wimberly, a 3-star safety from Bauxite, AR, both picked up offers from Venables and company recently.

Oklahoma rounded out its 2025 recruiting for the week with offers to 4-star Notre Dame Prep (AZ) wide receiver Cooper Perry, 4-star Elkhart Central (IN) edge rusher Mariyon Dye and 3-star Paramus Catholic (NJ) offensive lineman Malachi Goodman.

The OU staff still was not done in the Peach State, however, as Oklahoma offered Sprayberry (GA) safety prospect Jorden Edmonds

Venables and company also offered three sophomores from the Lone Star State recently, with Aledo (TX) wide receiver Kaydon Finley and Katy Jordan (TX) defensive lineman Jimmy Alo-Suliafu both hearing from the Sooners in the past week.

Finley, a 6-foot-2 pass catcher, is rated the No. 74 overall prospect and the No. 8 wideout in the 2026 class according to 247Sports. Alo-Suliafu, who is teammates with 2025 Oklahoma wide receiver target Andrew Marsh, is rated the No. 48 overall prospect and the No. 8 defensive lineman in the same class, per 247Sports.

The Sooners' rounded out their week of recruiting in the Lone Star State by extending an offer to Shadow Creek (TX) wide receiver Christopher Stewart. Hailing from the Houston-area, Stewart is teammates with OU 2025 defensive back target Cobey Sellers.

The only in-state prospect to pick up an offer from the Sooners over the past week was Owasso (OK) defensive lineman Tajh Overton. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 275 pounds, Overton is rising very quickly in the 2026 class after receiving offers from Kansas State, Oklahoma and Arkansas in a three-day span.

Weldon (NC) safety prospect Ennari White, Hun School (NJ) edge rusher Luke Wafle and Sierra Canyon (CA) defensive back Madden Riordan were the only other 2026 prospects to earn offers from OU in the past week.

Venables and company still weren't done, however, as they extended offers to two freshman from California.

Richard Wesley, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound edge rusher from Sierra Canyon (CA) and Wesley Winn, a 5-foot-9, 155-pound athlete from Archbishop Riordan (CA), are just the third and fourth 2027 prospects that the Sooners have offered.

Both players were named to the MaxPreps Freshman All-American team and have already picked up a handful of offers from schools around the country.
