After a quiet stretch on the recruiting trail last week, Brent Venables and Oklahoma were busy again over the past seven days.

Not only did the Sooners add to their 2025 recruiting class, OU also learned that they were among the top schools for five other talented prospects. Oklahoma's staff also found time to extend scholarship offers to two high school players and one college football player in the transfer portal.

On Friday, 4-star Atascocita (TX) running back Tory Blaylock announced his commitment to Oklahoma.

Hailing from the Houston area, Blaylock chose the Sooners over Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee and others. Rated the No. 219 overall player and No. 17 running back in the 2025 recruiting class, the Eagles' standout is a big addition to OU's upcoming recruiting class.

With 4-star quarterback Kevin Sperry and 4-star receiver duo Gracen Harris and Elijah Thomas also on board, Seth Littrell's skill position group has great speed and potential.

Last weekend, Blaylock clocked a 10.56 in the 100-meter dash and helped Atascocita's 4x100-meter relay team set a national record of 38.92.

Top Schools

On Monday, Elgin (OK) offensive lineman Antoni Ogumoro announced his Top Eight Schools and a commitment date.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound trench player will choose between Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, North Carolina State, Houston and North Carolina on May 21.

Rated a 3-star prospect by Rivals, Ogumoro would be the third offensive lineman to join Bill Bedenbaugh's group in the 2025 class alongside Owen Hollenbeck of Melissa (TX) and Ryan Fodje of Bridgeland (TX).

On Wednesday, 4-star 2025 defensive lineman Kole Briehler announced his Top Three schools and his official visit date to each campus.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds, the Hun School (NJ) standout is down to Stanford, Ohio State and Oklahoma. Briehler will visit Norman on June 21, the final of his three official visits.

Being the last school to get a visit from Briehler is important for Venables and company, as they will have the final opportunity to make a good impression on the Garden State star.

The same day that Briehler announced his top three, On3 reported that 4-star defensive lineman Landon Rink is also down to three schools.

Rink will choose between Ohio State, Texas A&M and Oklahoma on April 3.

Rated the No. 187 overall prospect and No. 13 defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class, the Cy-Fair (TX) standout is listed at 6-foot-2 and 280 pounds. Rink has visited Norman multiple times and would be a big addition on the Sooners' defensive line next to Lee's Summit North (MO) interior lineman Ka'Mori Moore and Wagoner (OK) edge rusher Alexander Shieldnight.

Also on Wednesday, 4-star Derby (KS) tight end DaSaahn Brame announced his Top Six schools.

Rated the No. 99 overall prospect and No. 4 tight end in the nation, Brame narrowed his list to Mississippi, LSU, Oregon, Oklahoma, Alabama and Tennessee.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 235 pounds, Brame is a fluid athlete for his size and plays 7-on-7 with Sooner7, a squad based in the Sooner State that also features talented prospects like Jamarian FicklinNate Roberts and Jaden Nickens.

On Saturday evening, 4-star defensive back Omarion Robinson announced his top five schools.

Hailing from Little Rock, AR, Robinson cut his list to Georgia, Oregon, Oklahoma, Arkansas and LSU.

Listed at 6-feet-tall and 185 pounds, the Parkview (AR) standout is rated the No. 118 overall prospect and No. 15 safety in the 2025 recruiting class.

Offers

The Sooners also extended offers to one transfer portal target and two high school prospects this week.

Philip Blidi, a former Indiana defensive lineman, announced on Sunday that he had picked up an offer from OU. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds, Blidi recorded 30 tackles, four tackles for loss and one pass deflection in 2023.

Starting his career at Texas Tech, the veteran d-lineman has played four seasons of college football and would provide a valuable veteran presence on Oklahoma's interior after Jacob Lacey was forced to medically retire over the offseason.

Blidi also announced that he will visit Norman for the Sooners' spring game in late April.

Back in the Sooner State, Venables and company extended an offer to Pocola (OK) 2025 ATH Dakotah Terrell

Listed at 6-foot-9 and 215 pounds, Terrell's recruitment has grown quickly, with Oklahoma, Michigan and Oklahoma State all offering the two-sport standout in recent weeks.

Playing edge rusher and tight end, Terrell's size and agility give him nearly endless upside on the football field.

Finally, Bedenbaugh and company offered Pace (FL) 2026 offensive lineman Grant Wise.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, Wise has already received offers from Alabama, Oregon, Georgia and many others.
