OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels (4-0) have enjoyed a fast start to their 2023 season, but they have a test out of the Big Ten coming to town this weekend.

The No. 13 Maryland Terrapins have arrived in Oxford, and they will open their series against the Rebels on Friday night after first pitch was pushed back from 4 to 6 p.m. CT due to weather in North Mississippi.

After news broke during the week that staff ace Hunter Elliott would not take the field for the Rebels this weekend, the ball will be handed to junior righty Jack Dougherty to get things started for Ole Miss. Follow along below for live updates between Ole Miss and Maryland on Friday night.

PREGAME

Mike Bianco released his starting lineup on Friday afternoon, and, as mentioned above, Dougherty will start things on the hill for the home team. A notable absence from the lineup, however, is outfielder TJ McCants. Kemp Alderman will hold down right field with Judd Utermark in left and Ethan Groff in center.

The Rebels are also wearing the uniforms seen in the graphic above: all-navy hats, navy jerseys and white pants.
