INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Former Ole Miss Rebel Nick Broeker was one of five Rebels invited to the 2023 NFL Combine and got the chance to display his athleticism to scouts on Sunday afternoon.

The offensive lineman officially measured in at 6-4, 305-pounds with an arm length of 32 1/2 inches and hands sized at 9 3/4 inches. In the 40-yard dash, Broeker recorded a 5.27u-second dash time on his first attempt and 5.28u on his second try. The nimble lineman also clocked in a 1.84u 10-yard split time.

Broeker's final combine workout is scheduled for Monday morning when he hits the 225-bench press.

Broeker played a critical role on the Ole Miss offensive line from 2019-22, starting in 25 games at left tackle before switching to left guard his senior year. From 2019-21, Broeker allowed just five sacks at left tackle and did not give up a single sack in his first season at guard.

As a senior, Broeker earned All-SEC Second Team honors and was awarded the Kent Hull Trophy, which is given annually to the best offensive lineman in the state of Mississippi.

Broeker recently spoke with WCIA News in a press conference ahead of his scouting workout and discussed his talents along the offensive line.

"Having the ability to play both guard and tackle, I think it’s really big for a guy like me," Broeker told WCIA News. "Just if somebody goes down I can be the next man up for whatever reason, and just being able to play any position definitely helps.”

The Springfield, Ill., native also reflected on his journey to the NFL.

"I mean it’s been quite the journey,” Broeker said. “Thankfully for me, I’ve had a lot of good influences, two of my guys I watched growing up I played with from Sacred (Heart) Griffin, both in the NFL now. Obviously, I (also) played with a bunch of Ole Miss teammates in the NFL now. So I think growing up this was one of the things that was definitely a dream and then as you get older and older and older it’s kind of like more of a goal, but it’s still a really cool experience to be up here.”

Broeker mentioned that two former Ole Miss teammates have helped coach him through the scouting process.

"I talk to Royce (Newman) and Ben (Brown) a lot," Broeker said. "I think the biggest (advice) is to be yourself and I think that was just kind of their message throughout the whole thing. Just kind of from their own personal experiences (and) do what you’re good at (and) just be confident through everything.”
