Former Indiana Hoosiers DB Louis Moore Announces Commitment to Ole Miss Rebels
OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels picked up their third transfer portal commitment of the 2024 cycle Monday night after former Indiana Hoosiers defensive back Louis Moore announced via Twitter that he has pledged to Lane Kiffin's program.
"SIP, IM OTW #HOTTYTODDY," -- Moore via X (formerly Twitter).
Moore appeared in 23 games for the Hoosiers the last two seasons - after starting off at Navarro College - and played his best football in 2023. This season, the senior registered 83 total tackles, one tackle for loss, three forced fumbles, three interceptions, and four pass breakups.
The Mesquite, Tex., native finished his time at Indiana with 92 total tackles, two TFLs, one sack, three interceptions, four pass breakups, and four forced fumbles. Moore now joins an Ole Miss portal class that is comprised solely of defensive talent. Moore is accompanied by the No. 1 transfer linebacker, Chris Paul Jr., and former Illinois Fighting Illini defensive back, Tahveon Nicholson.
The Rebels are renovating their linebacker and defensive backs room, and so far have found three impact starters via the portal. Ole Miss needs all the help it can get defensively, as the secondary could reportedly lose up to three or four starters, according to On3's Zach Berry.
This Ole Miss transfer class could be in store for a supercharge, however, as it was recently announced that former Texas A&M Aggies defensive tackle Walter Nolan is set to visit Oxford.
This would be arguably the biggest commitment of the Lane Kiffin era, as Nolan is currently the No. 1 player in the portal and was graded as the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle.
