OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss Rebels wrapped up their 2024 Pro Day on Wednesday, and 15 players got the chance to test their athleticism in front of all 32 NFL teams, including cornerback Deantre Prince.

Prince declared for the 2024 Draft after helping lead Ole Miss' defense to a Peach Bowl victory, and he finished his four-year career as a Rebel with 146 total tackles, 6 tackles for loss, one sack, six interceptions, 21 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.

This was not Prince’s first time working out in front of scouts this offseason, as the Charleston, Miss., native was invited to the 2024 NFL Combine and set a blazing 40-yard dash time of 4.38 seconds (fifth among cornerbacks). Despite turning heads with his 40 time, Prince was not content with his performance in Indianapolis,

“Coming out of [the Combine] I kind of knew what I needed to work on like my shuttles, L drills, and things like that,” Prince told reporters. “I need to get a better vertical as well. I worked on those things during my time off, and when it came to my pro day [on Wednesday], I had to make sure that I upheld on my end and make sure that [the scouts] knew I was working.”

Prince proceeded to give a run down on how he felt his pro day went.

“It went pretty good,” Prince said. “I feel like I could have done some things better. My L drill probably could have been better, but otherwise, I feel like I was very smooth with my drills and my hands today. Unfortunately, I don’t know where [my hands] were during the combine, but they were there today, so I had to prove to [the scouts] that I have ball skills.”

Prince stated on Wednesday that he has already met with the Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers, and he has a meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars set for Monday. He also revealed that he has another meeting with the Colts set for April and that the Minnesota Vikings previously came to Oxford for a private workout.
