Ole Miss Rebels Offer Indiana Hoosiers Transfer Portal RB Trent Howland

The Ole Miss Rebels have reportedly offered Indiana Hoosiers running back Trent Howland out of the transfer portal.

The newest transfer portal window is open in the world of college football, and the Ole Miss Rebels are continuing to address some needs on their roster.

Most recently, the Rebels reportedly offered Indiana Hoosiers transfer running back Trent Howland who entered the portal earlier this week. Howland has suited up with the Hoosiers for three years, and he rushed for 354 yards on 75 carries in the 2023 season with two touchdowns.

A native of Joliet West (Ill.) High School, Howland was a three-star recruit before committing to Indiana in 2020. He was rated the No. 64 running back nationally and No. 24 player in the state of Illinois.

Alongside an offer from the Rebels, Howland has also reported offers from the Western Michigan Broncos and the Central Florida Knights.

Running back is likely a position of emphasis for Ole Miss during this portal window, and Lane Kiffin admitted as much earlier this spring during a post-practice press conference.

"You're going to have another free agency window coming up," Kiffin said. "If you guys look out there and look at our running back position, just like you would in the NFL, you're going to attack free agency at that spot. It is what it is."

It has also been speculated that former Ole Miss running back Henry Parrish Jr. could transfer back to Oxford from the Miami Hurricanes. Parrish officially entered the portal earlier this week.
