There was a day and age when Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin was a hot name in the Auburn Tigers' coaching search. Those days have passed, however.

Kiffin has been known to throw jabs at the Tigers over the last year (especially since the school opted to hire Hugh Freeze as its new program CEO), and he took another opportunity to do that over the weekend. This time, the jab took a basketball focus.

Following Auburn's loss to the Yale Bulldogs in the NCAA Tournament, Kiffin went back and quoted the team's game day graphic and simply said, "Good luck guys." You can view his post here.

Kiffin got the best of Auburn on the gridiron last season, taking down the Tigers 28-21 at Jordan-Hare Stadium on The Plains, part of Ole Miss' first-ever 11-win season in program history. Kiffin's Rebels finished the year with a win in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, but the men's basketball program in Oxford wasn't as successful.

Ole Miss failed to reach the NCAA Tournament in the first year of Chris Beard's leadership on the hardwood, but that didn't stop Kiffin from taking the jab at the Tigers over the weekend. As long as his program has the upper hand (and even some times when it doesn't), he will be quick to pull another trolling job on social media. It's just in his nature.

The focus for Kiffin in the meantime is on prepping his program for the 2024 season, and spring practice is currently underway in Oxford for one of the most anticipated campaigns in school history. The Rebels are one of the trendiest picks to reach the newly-expanded College Football Playoff, a trek that will begin with the season opener on Aug. 31 at home against the Furman Paladins.
