4-Star Linebacker Recruit Jameer Miles Reveals Visit Plans For Oregon Ducks

In this story:
Four-star linebacker prospect Jameer Miles from the class of 2028 is one of the more productive athletes in the state of Illinois, as he is fresh off a very sound season defensively with Carmel Catholic High School, which has helped lead to a high ranking of No. 56 nationally, No. 4 in the state of Illinois, and No. 3 at his position, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Miles finished his sophomore season with a total of 74 solo tackles and 11 tackles for loss, all while finishing the season with three sacks, three pass deflections, and one caused fumble through nine games, according to MaxPreps.

This has helped boost him up in the rankings, and he now is now one of the most-recruited linebackers in the country, as he has received offers from many programs, including the Ohio State Buckeyes, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and recently the Oregon Ducks.
Jameer Miles Discusses His Oregon Ducks Offer
"It (Oregon Ducks football offer he received) really means a lot coming from a powerful program such as themselves," Miles said.
The Oregon Ducks program is one of the more proven programs in college football. Oregon has made the College Football Playoff in back-to-back seasons, including the 2025 season, which ended in the semifinals against the Indiana Hoosiers, who would later win the national championship. This success has been something that has caught Miles' attention.

"I think of consistency when it comes to the Oregon Ducks, because of how well their program has been throughout the years," Miles said.
Visiting a program can be make or break for the colleges that want to land the recruit. Luckily for the Ducks, the talented prospect from the state of Illinois is looking to potentially visit the Oregon Ducks program.

"There is a possible chance that I will be in the summer," Miles said.
Miles does have a lot to learn about the Oregon Ducks program, including some things to learn about the Ducks' head football coach, Dan Lanning. Although he has yet to learn a lot about Lanning, the talented prospect has already made an assumption about him due to many things, including the team's success.
"I don’t know much about him (Dan Lanning), but I’d say he’s a pretty good coach," Miles said.
This offer is just one amongst a lengthy list of others that have already come in for the Carmel Catholic star. The talented prospect from Illinois detailed what this offer means moving forward in his recruitment.

"It’s just being added to one of the schools that I have to evaluate for my future," Miles said.
The talented prospect has been one of the fastest-rising prospects in the class and has been a target for many others. The prospect detailed which coach was the one who decided to extend the offer to him, along with what that coach had to say when doing so.
"Coach Brian Michalowski (Oregon Ducks linebackers' coach). He went on to say how he wants to build our relationship," Miles said.
Can Oregon grab the commitment of Miles over Big Ten foes like Ohio State and Nebraska? The scene is set as the recruiting trail heats up.
