Pitt F Aidan Fisch Reflects on Historic Season

In this story:
GREENSBORO -- The Pitt Panthers sat at their lockers in the bowels of the Greensboro Coliseum following the 84-73 loss to Xavier which knocked them from the NCAA Tournament. Some had tears in their eyes and all of them wished the road didn't have to end here.
Aidan Fisch was one of those distraught, yes because Pitt lost but primarily because "the best five years" of his life, as he put it, had come to a close. Although his journey from manager to walk-on to scholarship player ended with the sting of defeat, the process was worth it.
“Last year, I was a true senior and I didn’t know if I wanted to come back and play again," Fisch said. "It’s been the best five years of my life so I wanted to come back. So I came back. The fact that we were able to have this great of a season is unbelievable.”
Fisch added that he'd cherish these moments and this run the Panthers made. After 24 wins and an NCAA Tournament berth later, they restored the pride this fanbase and city has in its basketball team and that is something he will never forget.

“Just joy," Fisch said when asked how he'll remember this season. "Anytime you’re having a bad day, you think back to days with Pitt basketball, going to the NCAA Tournament.”
