Pitt Misses On Niagra Transfer Noah Thomasson

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers will have to go back to the drawing board after losing out on one of their top priorities from the transfer portal.
Noah Thomasson, a sharp-shooting, elite scorer from Niagra, was on campus visiting Pitt last week but announced that he had picked Georgia over the Panthers, Penn State, St. John's and San Francisco.

It's clear to see why Thomasson, a 6'3 lefty from Richmond, Texas, was an attractive candidate for Pitt, who lost three deadly three-point shooters and its second-leading scorer to graduation this offseason, and many others.
He averaged 19.5 points, 3.5 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game while making 38.6% of his 3-point shots and 52.1% of his 2-point shots. He started all 31 games he appeared in for Niagra last season, averaging 36.4 minutes per game on the way to First Team All-MAAC honors.
The Panthers seem to already have their eyes on another prolific scoring guard from a mid-major school. They reached out to Marshall transfer Andrew Taylor, who averaged 20.2 points on 36% 3-point shooting last season, late the night before Thomasson committed.
