Pitt has struggled to find their footing since joining the ACC. The Panthers have never finished inside the league's top four. They finished fifth once during their first season after moving over from the Big East, but haven't finished higher than ninth ever since. During current head coach Jeff Capel's four-year tenure, Pitt's finished 14th, 13th, 12th and 11th.
2022 National runner-up North Carolina was picked to win the league after returning large parts of the team that lost to Kansas in the national championship game last year, receiving 90 of 101 first-place votes. They were followed by Duke, Virginia and Miami. Virginia Tech was the only other team to earn a first place vote.
The full poll is below:
1. North Carolina (90)
2. Duke (2)
3. Virginia (6)
4. Miami (2)
5. Florida State
6. Notre Dame
7. Virginia Tech (1)
8. Syracuse
9. Wake Forest
10. NC State
11. Clemson
12. Louisville
13. Boston College
