Pitt Transfer John Hugley Drawing Interest from High Majors

PITTSBURGH -- He announced his decision to transfer and end his tenure with the Pitt Panthers just two days ago and John Hugley is already receiving interest from two dozen Division I schools.
Michigan, Oregon, Miami, Rutgers, Xavier, Arkansas, LSU, Cincinnati, Iowa, State, West Virginia, Maryland, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, UCF, Wisconsin, Butler, Dayton, Ohio, Arizona State, Georgia, Duquesne, Oakland, Loyola Marymount and Cleveland State are among those who have reached out to the former Pitt forward, according to a report from Joe Tipton.

Hugley took a step back in his junior year after suffering a knee injury during the preseason. He averaged just eight points and 3.8 rebounds per game over just eight games this season, one year after averaging 14.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists on 47.1% shooting from the field. He was named an All-ACC Honorable mention for his efforts at the end of the 2021-22 season.
