Pitt QB Headed to Manning Passing Academy

One of two quarterbacks fighting for Pitt's starting job got the invite for the Manning Passing Academy.

Pitt Panthers quarterback Kedon Slovis will be joining the largest group of passers ever to attend the Manning Passing Academy. For the second time in his career, Slovis is headed Nichols State in Thibodaux, Louisiana to join college football's best QBs.

Slovis attended the camp as a representative of USC last summer but will work as a Panther this time around. Despite competing with Nick Patti for the starting job this season, Slovis was the only Pitt QB to be invited to the academy.

The Pitt passer will join 45 college quarterbacks, including names like Alabama's Bryce Young, Ohio State's CJ Stroud, Florida's Anthony Richardson and others.

The camp will run Thursday through Sunday, June 23-26.

Pitt is currently in a break between spring workouts and training camp at the end of July. Head coach Pat Narduzzi has not given any indication of who the front-runner for the starting quarterback job is.
