Kickoff Times for Two More Pitt Home Games Announced

When the Pitt Panthers' games against Boston College and Wofford will kickoff has been revealed.

PITTSBURGH -- Kickoff times and television designations for two more Pitt Panthers home games have been announced by the ACC this week. After revealing the Panthers would take on West Virginia in primetime on national television in Week 3, the league announced further details about the season opener against Wofford and Week 11 matchup with Boston College.

Pitt will play Wofford at 3:30 pm on September 2 to open the 2023 season at Acrisure Stadium with ACC network carrying the broadcast. Then the home finale against Boston College on November 16 - a Thursday - will kickoff at 7 pm and air on ESPN.

The season opener against Wofford will be headlined by former Pitt offensive coordinator Shawn Watson's return to the Steel City. The Panthers averaged 24.8 points per game under his direction. His tenure featured Kenny Pickett's rise to starting quarterback and the explosive running of Qadree Ollison and Darrin Hall.

Pitt last faced Boston College during the 2020 season and suffered a devastating 31-30 loss at the hands of the Eagles in Chestnut Hill. In fact, the Panthers haven't beaten Boston College since 2014 and haven't topped them in Pittsburgh since 2004.
