Pitt Bringing Back Freshman LB in 2024

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers will keep another one of their standout true freshmen from the 2023 recruiting class in Pittsburgh for the coming season.
Alliance 412, the prefered NIL collective of Pitt athletics, announced this week that Jordan Bass will be back in blue and gold for his sophomore season after getting his feet wet this past fall.

Bass, a consensus four-star recruit coming out of Pheobus High School in Virginia last year, chose Pitt over the likes of Penn State, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss and others.
He immediately played a massive role on special teams for the Panthers in 2023, blocking a pair of punts - one of which was returned for a touchdown - before the bye week. He slowly earned a role in the defense and made the first start of his career against Wake Forest, when regular starter Solomon Deshields went down with an injury. Bass totaled 11 tackles, two for a loss, in 10 games played this past season.
He's expected to take on a much bigger role in 2024 with Bangally Kamara headed to the transfer portal.
