This series between two dates back to 1921 but went through a few major breaks in the action. Pitt won the first seven games but the Bearcats have won four of the last five, including two in a row in Pittsburgh.
The most famous game of the rivalry came in 2009, when Brian Kelly, Tony Pike, Marty Gilliard and the Bearcats stunned Pitt, 45-44 in front of a sold out Heinz Field to capture the Big East title and a BCS Bowl bid.
The Panthers will try to snap a two game skid that dates back to 2011 when Cincinnati visits town this September.
