Former Pitt QB Davis Beville Commits to Oklahoma

The quarterback who nearly led the Pitt Panthers to a win in the Peach Bowl last January has found his next stop.

PITTSBURGH -- Five months after he nearly led the Pitt Panthers to a win in the Peach Bowl, quarterback Davis Beville has found a new place to play college football. The former four-star high school recruit is headed to Oklahoma to play for first-year head coach Brent Venables, he announced on Twitter Monday evening.

Beville played sparingly during his first season at Pitt in 2020. In fact, the 2021 Peach Bowl was the first significant playing time he had seen in college. But despite that, he played well in relief of starter Nick Patti, who went down with a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter. Beville completed 14 of 18 passes for one touchdown and one interception in a 21-31 loss to Michigan State.

Beville entered the portal on March 2will bring three years of eligibility with him to Norman, Oklahoma.
