PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have their backcourt well-stocked at the moment but have nonetheless looked to make it even stronger with the potential addition of an experienced scorer from the Atlantic 10 who is now looking for a new home in the transfer portal.

Pitt was one of many high-major schools to contact former St. Louis Billikens leading scorer, Giberson Jimerson, according to a report from recruiting insider Sam Kayser. But there will be stiff competition to land his commitment, with West Virginia, Memphis, Indiana, Clemson, Texas A&M, UCLA, Washington, Georgetown, Oklahoma, Providence, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Kansas, Maryland, Northwestern, Colorado, DePaul, Notre Dame and Virginia having also reached out as well.

Jimerson has started all 101 games he's appeared in over the past three seasons for the Billikens and averaged 14 or more points per game while shooting 39.5% from 3-point range during each of those three seasons.

He averaged 15.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and a career-high 2.1 assists per game during the 2023-24 season. In four career games against ACC competition, the 6'5 guard has averaged 12.2 points per game while 35.5% from 3-point range but just 31.8% from the field.
