South Carolina head baseball coach Mark Kingston has had a lot of adversity thrown his way in terms of his roster being overcome with injuries. Last season, it was the pitching staff that suffered the brunt of the injury bug, but this year, both the pitching staff and batting lineup are dealing with their share of wear and tear.

On Thursday afternoon, Mark Kingston met with the local media to discuss the upcoming Arkansas series and was asked about what the travel roster would look like, along with certain players availability. This was the information shared by Kingston:

- Noah Hall and Will Sanders will not make the trip. Sanders has a slight lower body injury that Kingston described as a "slightly lingering" injury.

- Eli Jones, TBA and Matthew Becker will be the starting rotation this weekend. Jack Mahoney being more of a swing man who could have his number called at any point during the series.

- Second baseman Will McGillis and shortstop Braylen Wimmer will make the trip and the staff is hopeful that they'll be available in some form or fashion.

- Right-handed pitcher Eli Jerzembeck will not make the trip as he's still under evaluation for an upper-body injury he suffered in game three against Kentucky last weekend.

- Third baseman Talmadge LeCroy felt good after making his start against North Florida on Tuesday night and is good to go against Arkansas.

- Relief pitcher Chris Veach will be available this weekend after dealing with some arm soreness this past weekend.

While the Gamecocks are finally getting some guys back in the field, it appears that in the short term, the pitching staff will be a little bit short-handed as they near the end of the regular season.
