South Carolina has jumped back into the rankings after sweeping the number three team in the nation, the Vanderbilt Commodores. The offense has looked the best it has all season. Behind a massive weekend from their pre-season All-Americans, Cole Messina went 4 for 12 with a home run and a double, three walks, and four RBIs, and Ethan Petry went 4 for 8 with two home runs, five walks, and six RBIs.

However, this is not to be outdone by the pitching staff, who has been a beam of consistency this season when some viewed them as a question mark before the season. Eli Jones started the week, and Tyler Pitzer finished it by only giving up 16 hits as a unit in the series.

Now the Gamecocks look to stay hot as they prepare for their midweek matchup against Presbyterian, heading into another weekend in the SEC, where they will play at Alabama, who was just swept by Georgia.
