REPORT: 2024 IOL Elyjah Thurman Sets Up Official Visit With South Carolina

Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks might be in the midst of their 2023 football season, but that doesn't mean that the Gamecocks' recruiting efforts take a back seat. The coaching staff remains in contact with several key targets, and has even dispensed a couple of new offers to kids specifically from the state of South Carolina.
One of those aforementioned targets the Gamecocks are still pursuing is Four-star IOL Elyjah Thurman. Thurman included South Carolina in his Top 8 that he released back in early August, and that was in spite of the fact that Elyjah had yet to make a trip to Columbia to check out the program, something he still hasn't done as of today.
According to Ryan Wright of RecruitingNewsGuru.com, Thurmon is taking an official visit to South Carolina on the weekend of December 8th-10th. This could wind up being a huge visit for Thurmon, because it'll be taking place less than two weeks from the early national signing day period of December 20th-22nd. Should Elyjah not wait 'til February to sign, and no other visits be scheduled between those two stretches, Beamer and his staff would be leaving the last impression on the Georgia native ahead of the potential conclusion to his recruitment.
