If the South Carolina Gamecocks are going to reach even bigger heights this upcoming Fall, they'll need specific players to step up when the team calls their proverbial number. One of those players that Shane Beamer and his staff will heavily rely on is star wide receiver Antwane Wells Jr., who busted onto the scene this past Fall, catching 68 passes for 928 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

When a player like "Juice" Wells becomes a household name in college football and then decides to turn down the NFL Draft and come back for another season, these days, college football programs have to offer something worthwhile to their star players. That's happened between Antwane and the Gamecocks, as Darren Heitner, a Sports Law Professor at Florida who's heavily involved in the NIL game, tweeted on Tuesday afternoon that Wells leads the SEC in terms of the sheer number of NIL deals he's amassed.

Haitner credited the marketing agency Park Avenue for helping Antwane "Juice" Wells secure 14 different NIL deals with companies like SAXX Underwear, the dog food distribution company, The Farmer's Dog, and even Village Idiot, a local hot spot for Columbia natives who are looking to grab some pizza. This is a win-win for South Carolina and Park Avenue, with the Gamecocks able to tout the accessibility of NIL opportunities to prospective recruits. At the same time, Park Avenue's name is attached to one of the biggest names in the SEC this upcoming season.
