Cam Scott Has A String Of Exceptional Performances In Nike EYBL Session II

South Carolina Basketball target Cam Scott led his EYBL affiliate team to a 3-1 weekend in the second session of the Nike EBYL.

This past weekend, the No. 1 player in South Carolina for the 2024 class, Cam Scott, and AAU team affiliate, Team United NC, traveled to Phoenix, AZ, for the Nike EYBL second session, finishing with a 3-1 record.

Scott averaged 13.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals with an even 1:1 assist-to-turnover ratio during the weekend. The Palmetto State's most coveted recruit, dating back to Zion Williamson, had his best scoring performance against the City Rocks NY, tallying 21 points, six rebounds, and two steals on 60% shooting from the floor.

The lanky right-hander had his game on full display in session two, smoothly getting to his spots with ease, knocking down jumpers and timely floaters. However, what was most impressive about the 6-foot-five guard was his ability to affect the game without being a volume scorer.

In Friday's game versus Team Thad, who's No. 2 in 17U EYBL section A, Scott only scored 6 points but made winning basketball plays. Scott was active in the passing lanes and the paint area on the defensive end, acquiring two steals, grabbing six defensive rebounds, and displaying the ability to not force shots while running the floor, which allowed him to be in the right place at the right time.

Currently ranked 10th in the standings for EYBL section A, Scott and Team United will be back in EYBL action on the weekend of May 12-14 for session three at the Southwest Athletic Center in Dallas, TX.
