Daniel "DD" Holmes Includes Gamecocks In Top 6
When it comes to the game of football, there's a few certain positions teams must prioritize due to their importance; quarterback, wide receiver, offensive, cornerback and defensive end. For the South Carolina Gamecocks, they've been involved with some real heavy hitters at the edge rusher position in particular, being in it for guys like 5-star edge rusher Dylan Stewart from the 2024 class.
One other target that hasn't been discussed as much is Daniel "DD" Holmes, who also happens to hail from the DMV region. Holmes has received a plethora of SEC offers from schools like South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Ole Miss, along with other historic programs like Michigan, Texas, Miami, Southern Cal' and Nebraska.
On Wednesday, Daniel made the next big step in his recruitment by releasing his Top 6, a group that included Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks.
Other teams that were included in Daniel's Top 6 were Florida State, Michigan, Maryland, Florida and Rutgers. Holmes has yet to visit Columbia to check out the football program, so for the Gamecocks, if they want to remain in the race for Daniel long-term, they'll likely need to get him in for a visit during the summer of this next football season.
