With eleven commits in the fold for Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football coaching staff at this point in the 2024 recruiting cycle, the Gamecocks, for the most part, are now just looking to fill in some slots at certain positions. One of those position groups is the defensive backfield, where South Carolina currently has just two commits in Palmetto State native Kelvin Hunter and DMV native Braydon Lee.

Secondary coach Torrian Gray would like to land a couple more pledges to offset the impending losses of Marcellas Dial, DeAngelo Gibbs, and potentially some other seniors and continue to build depth in the defensive backfield. One target who could help in this regard is Georgia native Kam Mikell, who's visited South Carolina on three different occasions, including an official visit that occurred on the weekend of June 9th through the 11th.

Mikell has been viewed as a Georgia lean for several months now, but it doesn't seem that Kam objects to the idea of keeping other programs under consideration, as he released a Top 14 on Monday through graphic designer JGP.

Outside of Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, and likely Alabama should be considered teams of interest for the rest of Kam's recruitment.
