Micah Gilbert Locks In Commitment Date
As the Summer approaches, we get closer to many commitment announcements from high school football talent in the class of 2024. Earlier this week, we got word of one of the top receiving talent in the class of 2024, Micah Gilbert, commitment dates. According to his post on Twitter, Gilbert will announce his commitment on May 2nd at 4 p.m. EST.
Gilbert's announcement will be live-streamed on the 247Sports website. The 38th-ranked receiver in the class of 2024 also released the seven finalists for his recruitment, which is the same list he released earlier this month.
South Carolina has made strides in improving their receiving room over the next few years, but they still have the opportunity to fortify and strengthen it's receiving core. Gilbert is everything you may want out of a receiver. He is tall, standing at 6-3, is a capable route-runner, he's athletic and shifty down the field and can haul in difficult catches in traffic.
Both 247Sports and On3 resoundingly predict Gilbert will commit to Notre Dame. Though the odds are stacked against the Gamecocks, South Carolina has shown resilience in its last-ditch efforts to land certain recruits, such as Nyckoles Harbor.
