2025 Gamecock Commit Eli Ellis Has Another Big Game

2025 South Carolina men’s basketball commit Eli Ellis won player of the game in his Overtime Elite League team's big matchup against RWE.

Eli Ellis, a four-star guard and current South Carolina commit from the 2025 recruiting cycle, continues to dazzle fans on the hardwood. Eli's latest performance has left scouts buzzing, as the young phenom led his team, the Nightmares, to a nail-biting 99-95 victory against their formidable opponents, RWE, in the Overtime Elite League (OTE).

Demonstrating both skill and determination, Ellis was rightly named the player of the game. He scored 38 points, showing off the scoring prowess that has become a hallmark of his play, but it wasn't just his scoring that caught the eyes of those who follow the sport; Eli contributed in other areas of the game as well, grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out three assists, and recording a steal and a block, making an impact on both ends of the court.

Now averaging 33.6 points per game this season, Ellis is keeping the Gamecock faithful excited for what's to come when he dons their colors. In a delightful display of sibling synergy, Eli's brother, Isaac Ellis, a rising star in the 2026 class, has also made headlines by dropping 22 points of his own. The Ellis brothers are shaping up to be a formidable family duo on the basketball scene, giving basketball fans more than one reason to look forward to the future.
