As anticipation builds, we find ourselves just a few days away from a momentous recruiting weekend for the South Carolina Gamecocks, with prospects ranging from high school standouts to transfer portal hopefuls. Now, let's delve into the exciting lineup of recruits set to visit for the Gamecocks.
Official Visitors For This Weekend
Vandy WR Jayden McGowan
Jayden, who is from South Carolina, is a player Gamecock fans should keep an eye on this weekend during his visit we would not be surprised if this recruitment is a fast one.

Tennessee Tech DB Gerald Kilgore
The oldest brother of freshman star DB Jalon Kilgore, Gerald, is new to the defensive back position, but showed promise this Fall. His latest offer was from West Virginia, but, much like McGowan, I think this will be a fast recruitment.
Harvard TE Tyler Neville
Tyler is an elite blocker, ranked as the No. 2 highest-graded blocker for FBS and FCS TEs by Pro Football Focus. Additionally, Tyler is a reliable catcher who was productive for Harvard. Currently, the Gamecocks are his best offer, so Gamecock fans should feel very confident.
Miami RB Donald Chaney Jr
Donald, the son of Don Chaney, a former Gamecock WR who also played in the NFL, could provide the production and depth needed in the running back room. His injury history has been a concern for the staff, but this weekend, he will be coming in and will be evaluated. If given an offer, I would expect the legacy recruit to choose his dad's school, one he was high on out of high school.
2024 Four-star JUCO DT Jerome Simmons
Jerome, ranked as the No. 6 JUCO player in the nation, would be a significant acquisition for DL coach Travian Robertson, who has yet to secure a commitment as the South Carolina's defensive tackles coach. This would be a promising first commitment for him, especially when competing with teams like Georgia, Mississippi State, and Coastal Carolina. It's worth noting that Jerome is from South Carolina, so Gamecock fans, once again, should feel confident, especially with this late official visit.

Keeping them at South Carolina for the foreseeable future, despite the rumors that were going around some of these players possibly leaving, shows how The Garnet trust can step up in a big way in terms of roster retention.
The Introduction To The Fish Bomb
