Zion Ragins Narrows Recruitment

Over time, Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football coaching staff are in contention with multiple high-end prospects at different positions. The latest example is at the wide receiver spot. Justin Stepp, Dowell Loggains, and the rest of the offensive staff have their foot in the door for 2024 targets like Jonathan Paylor, Demello Jones, and Josiah Brown.
Another electrifying wide receiver that Gamecock fans should pay attention to is Georgia native Zion Ragins. He fits a mold similar to Paylor as a smaller receiver who can score on any player due to his speed and ball-carrier vision. Like other players in his class, Ragins seemingly didn't want to carry out the recruiting process through his senior season of high school football. He conveyed these intentions by announcing his top twelve schools on Tuesday afternoon, including South Carolina in this list.

Ragins visited Columbia when the Gamecocks took on the Georgia Bulldogs back on September 17th of last year, and the staff would likely want to get him back on campus soon, but according to a quick interview with On3's Chad Simmons, that would likely come during the summertime due to his Spring track and field schedule.
