Syracuse has received a commitment from Houston transfer offensive lineman David Ndukwe, he announced Friday evening on social media.

This will be Ndukwe’s seventh season in college football. With the Cougars in 2025, he played two games before a season ending knee injury. He was lost midway through Houston’s second game against Colorado, and missed the remaining 11 games due to the injury.

Ndukwe played just 25 snaps in the 2025 season, which did not count against his eligibility because it was a medical redshirt season.

Overall, he played three seasons with Houston, including 11 games in 2024 and three games in 2023.

Prior to the Cougars, he played for three seasons at Western Kentucky. He played seven games in 2020, which, because of COVID, was not counted against his eligibility. He also redshirted in the 2022 season, and appeared in 14 games overall for the Hilltoppers.

Ndukwe was a Stonecrest (GA) Arabia Mountain High and rated three stars by both 247Sports and Rivals. His original offer sheet included Syracuse, Akron, Chattanooga, Eastern Kentucky, FIU, Jacksonville State, South Alabama and Southern University.
