Texas A&M and Louisville Announce Home-and-Home Series

COLLEGE STATION - Schools are always looking to add a competitive edge to their schedule. For Texas A&M, their matchup with Clemson might rank among one of the top home vs. home matchups over the past decade.
With schedules set for the imminent future, the Aggies are playing in the now to build their program. Still, it's never too early to begin planning for the next set of games down the line.
A&M fans can mark their calendars for a potential must-see matchup a decade from this year right away.
Texas A&M and the University of Louisville have agreed to a home-and-home football series in 2028 and 2029.
“We are excited to announce this home-and-home series with Louisville as we continue our non-conference home-and-home football matchups with some of the top programs across the country," Texas A&M Director of Athletics Ross Bjork said. "This matchup also gives our fans a chance to see a different part of the country and continues to showcase the Texas A&M brand on a national stage."
The Cardinals will come to Kyle Field on Sept. 2, 2028 and the Aggies will return to Louisville on Sept. 1, 2029.
The two schools have met four times throughout the program's history. Texas A&M currently holds the advantage over the Cardinals with a 3-1 record. Their last meeting, however, went in favor of the Cardinals, who picked up the 27-21 victory in the Music City Bowl in 2015.
The Aggies out of conference schedule could be one to remember for the coming years. A&M will face former Big 12 foe Colorado in 2020 and 2021 before taking on Miami during the 2022-23 seasons. The team will also have a home against home matchup with Notre Dame in 2025 and 2026 and later face Pac 12 opponent Arizona State in 2026 and 2027.
The Aggies will return to College Station in two weeks following their bye to take on South Carolina for the final game of the season. The game will be televised on SEC Network for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
