The "Greatest Show on Dirt" continues in Omaha. If you haven't been watching, you've missed some epic baseball.

With eight games now in the books, six have been decided by only one run. Through eight games, 33 of the 67 runs scored in Omaha were scored in the 7th inning or later. No lead is intact until the last at bat. There's a reason this is called "The Greatest Show on Dirt."

On Monday, Tennessee found themselves down 4-0 but came back to win 6-4 and send Stanford home. In the nightcap, LSU got the early 2-0 lead. No. 1 Wake Forest would score three unanswered, including the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th.

College World Series Game Seven

Tennessee (1-1) 6 - No. 8 Stanford (0-2) 4

The Cardinal got several free passes in the first three innings. Thanks to a walk, a single, a double steal, a throwing error, and a double, Stanford was up 2-0 after the 1st. Then in the 3rd, they added two more runs thanks to a hit by pitch, a walk, a single, and a sacrifice fly.

Then came the 5th inning for the Vols. They quickly got to Stanford pitcher Quinn Matthews and forced an early departure for the ace. Tennessee would send ten batters to the plate, get six hits, and score four runs to tie the game.

In the top of the 7th, Tennessee would have runners on second and third with one out. A groundout by Zane Denton would score one. One wild pitch later, the other runner would score, putting Tennessee up 6-4. The score would hold for the remainder of the game.

Winning Pitcher: Chase Burns; Losing Pitcher: Matt Scott

Stanford became the second team eliminated from the Men's College World Series.

College World Series Game Eight

No. 1 Wake Forest 3 - No. 5 LSU 2

This game started as a pitchers' dual. The first two innings had no hits. Three total baserunners were all put on base due to walks. For a while, it seemed the team that got the first hit might be the game's only hit.

That changed in the top of the 3rd. LSU got a couple of hits, including a triple by 1st baseman Tre' Morgan. This put the Tigers on the board, 2-0.

Wake Forest would finally get on the board in the bottom of the 6th. After having their first three batters walked to load the bases with no outs, 3rd baseman Brock Wilken would single up the middle, scoring the runner at 3rd base. The next batter, 2nd baseman Justin Johnson, would ground out into a double play, but still allowing the runner on 3rd to score.

The game would be tied at 2-2 going into the seventh. This game was set up to be just like the other games in Omaha this week. A late-inning run would determine the eventual winner. That run came in the bottom of the 8th. With one out and a runner on second, catcher Bennett Lee would single into left field, allowing Danny Corona to score the go-ahead run from 2nd. Camden Minacci, who took the mound in the 8th for the Demon Deacons, would need just 11 pitches to retire the side in the top of the 9th to give Wake Forest the win. Winning Pitcher: Chase Burns; Losing Pitcher: Matt Scott

Winning Pitcher: Camden Minacci; Losing Pitcher: Thatcher Hurd

Next up: Tennessee and LSU will meet on Tuesday, June 20, at 6 p.m. CT in an elimination game. The loser will go home. The winner will face Wake Forest at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday, June 21.
