The "Greatest Show on Dirt"  in Omaha is down to the final two. It took extra innings to get there, but yes, it's down to two.

On Thursday night, in the winner-take-all final game of Bracket Two, No. 5 LSU came out victorious over No. 1 Wake Forest. They advance to the national championship series and will face Florida starting Saturday, June 24. It will be an all-SEC championship series.

College World Series Bracket Two Final Game

No. 5 LSU (3-1) 2 - No. 1 Wake Forest (2-1) 0

It was a battle of two ace pitchers, both of whom will be picked early in next month's MLB Draft - Rhett Lowder for No. 1 Wake Forest and Paul Skenes for No. 5 LSU. The two pitchers did their job. Lowder went 7.0 IP, 88 pitches, 3 hits, 0 runs, 6 strikeouts, and 2 walks. Skenes went 8.0 IP, 120 pitches, 2 hits, 0 runs, 9 strikeouts, and 1 walk.

After nine innings, the score was 0-0, and we had our first extra innings game in this year's MCWS.

The stalemate was finally broken in the bottom of the 11th. LSU centerfielder Dylan Crews singled to lead off the inning. Camden Minacci came in to pitch for Wake Forest. On his first pitch, third baseman Tommy White hit a bomb over the LSU bullpen in left field. Tigers walk it off and win 2-0.

Winning Pitcher: Thatcher Hurd; Losing Pitcher: Michael Massey

Wake Forest became the sixth team eliminated from the Men's College World Series.

LSU advanced to the national finals, which begin on Saturday, June 24.

The streak of not having the No. 1 seed meet the No. 2 seed in the finals series continues.
