OMAHA! The TCU Horned Frogs (42-22) are headed to the Men's College World Series. This will be their sixth appearance in program history, all since 2010.

TCU secured their spot in Omaha after sweeping No. 14 Indiana State in the Fort Worth Super Regional. The Frogs won 6-4 on Saturday night.

"It's a hell of a time to be a Frog," said starting pitcher Sam Stoutenborough postgame when asked about the incredible year in TCU Athletics.

On Saturday night, the Frogs won their 11th straight game. They have won 19 of the 21 games played since May 1. The only two losses were one-loss games to Cal State Fullerton and Kansas State. The Frogs have outscored their opponents 194-70 in this stretch.

Stoutenborough got off to a rocky start in the first inning. He gave up three hits and two runs while facing the first seven of the Sycamores' lineup. He gave up one hit in the second, then threw back-to-back three-ups/three-downs in the third and fourth innings. He ended the night with 5.1 innings pitches, with five hits, and three runs (all earned) while striking out two and walking one.

Offensively, the Frogs came alive in the bottom of the fourth inning. Brayden Taylor was walked with one out. Cole Fontenelle then doubled. Tre Richardson singled to left field, scoring Taylor and putting the Frogs on the board. Kurtis Byrne would reach on a fielding error. Anthony Silva got a base hit to right field. Luke Boyers would double to center field. Austin Davis would get an RBI groundout. Elijah Nunez, the ninth batter of the inning, would ground out to end it. But by the end, the Frogs amassed four hits and plated five.

Fontenelle would get a solo home run into the crowded berm in right field in the fifth inning. Indiana State would cut the deficit in half in the sixth inning with two runs. Ben Abeldt relieved Stoutenborough, pitching 2.2 innings. He did give up four hits and one run, the first run he allowed in over a month. Garrett Wright came in to close the game out in the ninth. He allowed a lead-off hit and then got three straight outs to seal the victory.

Next up: TCU travels to Omaha for the Men's College World Series June 16-26. They will first face the winner of the Eugene Super Regional. Other teams in the Frogs double-elimination bracket will include Florida and the winner of the Charlottesville Super Regional.
