REVIVAL FITNESS TEXAS Signs TCU Basketball's Miller to NIL Deal

REVIVAL FITNESS TEXAS announced today the signing of a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) marketing deal with TCU Men’s basketball athlete Emanuel Miller (Toronto) as the newest REVFIT ATHLETE, joining TCU student athletes Women’s Volleyball player Julia Adams and Women’s Rifle Team members Stephanie Allan and Anne White.
REVIVAL FITNESS (REVFIT) provides a cutting-edge fitness experience for all individual levels with aspirations to build a community of physically and mentally strong members. REVFIT believes its mission to build a community of members with strong minds and bodies is a perfect match for athletes. Sharing that alignment of goals and values, Miller joins the REVFIT team to power student-athletes forward in building their brands as well as their business experience.
“Emanuel Miller lives the passion and conviction that perfectly aligns with REVFIT. His spirit drives his basketball success on the TCU court, and that same energy inspires our members when he is in the studio,” said Gary D. Simpson, Founder & Chairman of REVFIT. “REVFIT is committed to continuing to provide collegiate athletes across the various sports with the opportunity to build business and brand experience, and we are very proud to partner with Eman to build our brands together.”
“Working out at REVFIT during off-season has kept me in shape and been so much fun,” said Miller, a returning senior player on the TCU Men’s basketball team. “The facility is amazing and the workouts are great for both non-athletes and for me and my teammates.”
During the 2022-23 season, Miller who is a 6’ 7” forward, was named All-Big 12 Conference Honorable Mention and played in 32 games with 31 starts. Averaging 12.3 points per game, he was ranked sixth in the Big 12 with 6.5 rebounds per game and ranked second in shooting with a 50.5 percent average from the field. Miller was named Big 12 Player of the Week on December 27 after scoring 21 points and bringing down seven rebounds against Utah. Notably, he reached 1,000 career points during the 21-point outing at Texas (1/11/23) and scored a season-high 23 points against Kansas State (1/14/23). Miller is a respected veteran TCU team member and an inspiration on and off the court.
While the deal includes marketing/branding activities across social media and event appearances, the company also provides its “REVFIT Athletes” with the opportunity to co-teach fitness classes as well as participate in corporate activities with its executives in order to gain operations, marketing and business experience. The agreements also encourage the athlete's participation in Neeley School of Business NIL workshops to provide further development opportunities.
“We are excited that REVFIT, a homegrown Forth Worth enterprise, is adding to its support of our student-athletes with another NIL opportunity,” said Jeremiah Donati, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at TCU. “It illustrates the commitment from our donor base and business partners to be leaders on the NIL front as TCU advances our leadership across the growing DFW metroplex with an expanding national presence.”
In July 2021, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) changed its policy to allow student-athletes to monetize their name, image, and likeness (NIL) through partnerships with local and national businesses. Through these brand partnerships, athletes can turn their success in their sports into providing supplemental financial resources to assist with the cost of attending college.
