Men's Basketball: Saturday’s (3/4) National Games to Watch

As No. 22 TCU closes out their season in Norman against the Sooners and some conference tournaments get started, here are some other games around the nation to keep an eye on:

No. 2 Alabama vs. No. 24 Texas A&M

There is a palpable buzz going on around this Aggies squad. Although Alabama secured the SEC regular season conference title on Wednesday, the Aggies still want to show that they are a legitimate contender at home against the Crimson Tide.

The Tide are coming off an OT comeback win in the Iron Bowl on the hardwood. They still have only lost the one game in conference in Knoxville.

Tip-off is at 11:00 a.m. CT and you can watch on CBS.

No. 3 Kansas vs. No. 9 Texas

If the Longhorns would’ve been able to pull of the comeback win in Fort Worth on Wednesday, this game would have been for a shot at the Big 12 regular season title. In his post-game press conference Wednesday, Texas head coach Rodney Terry said the team is still playing for seeding; so, expect an all-out effort from his squad.

The Jayhawks are still one of the hottest teams in the nation coming into play Saturday. The only returning starter from last season’s championship squad Jalen Wilson is putting up numbers all over the stat sheet. Even on the defensive end, averaging 2.1 steals per game.

Tip-off is at 3:00 p.m. CT and you can watch on ESPN.

Duke vs. North Carolina

The most famous rivalry in college basketball closes out conference play for Duke and North Carolina. Neither of these teams are fighting for the top spot in the ACC, but it’s a very important game for deciding the fate of North Carolina in the NCAA tournament.

Duke should be in barring a catastrophic collapse, but North Carolina is very much on the bubble.

The Tar Heels opened the season as the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, but early season struggles put them in a massive hole. Three straight wins and a chance to knock off bitter-rival Duke gives the Heels a decent shot at the NCAA tournament heading into the ACC tournament next weekend.

Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. CT and you can watch on ESPN.
