Hello!

SI here, the guy who knows nothing giving you everything you need to know about TCU athletics. And that includes basketball. Or so they tell me. Regarding the TCU versus Iowa State game this Wednesday, here are the relevant details:

Tipoff is at 8:00 pm, at the Hilton Coliseum, in Ames, Iowa.

The game can be viewed on ESPNU with Rich Hollenberg and Kevin Lehman.

Alternatively, TCU fans can listen to the game at 570 KLIF Radio with Brian Estridge and John Denton or listen to or watch the game live from the Riff Ram app.

And now for the inexplicably obligatory narrative.

Thrice bitten, twice shy.  Stuff was bad.  And it's getting worse.  We are now in the midst of a three-game losing streak, and to tell the truth, I'm not sure we're going to come out of it.

Iowa State leads us in-conference, 7-5 against our 6-6.  Further, we'll be meeting them at home, in Ames, wherever the hell that is.

But there is reason for optimism.  For one, all three of those defeats came while Mike Miles and Eddie Lampkin were injured.  According to the Startlegram, those two practiced with the boys on Tuesday and were "full participants."  Assuming they retake the court, we will have a stronger team, one that the Cyclones may underestimate, as so many of our competitors so often do.

In addition, though our conference record is not as impressive as Iowa State's, our overall record is slightly better.  As of now, Iowa State stands at 16-8, against our 17-8, meaning we've one more victory to our credit, assuming I, the Ignoramus, read the record properly.

Here's to looking at 18-8.
