In this story:

Week One of college football season is behind us. There were some expected wins and a few upsets along the way, all of which impacted this week's polls.

After the unexpected loss at home to Colorado, TCU dropped from its No. 16/17 preseason ranking to now not in either poll. Colorado debuted in both polls, and it's the first time since 2020 that the Buffs have been ranked.

The top two teams remain the same in both polls - Georgia and Michigan. Florida State, after a big win on Sunday night over LSU, moved to No. 4 in the AP Top 25 and No. 5 in the Coaches Poll.

Clemson and LSU had the largest drops in the rankings after their respective losses.

In the Big 12,  No. 11/10 Texas is the highest-ranked team. Also ranked are Kansas State (No. 15/15) and Oklahoma (No. 18/17). Texas Tech also dropped out of the Coaches Poll after its loss on the road in Wyoming. Houston, TCU,  Texas Tech, and UCF are in the "receiving votes" category in both polls. Iowa State, Kansas, and Oklahoma State are each in one poll's "receiving votes" category.
