Women's Basketball: TCU's Sedona Prince Named to Preseason All-Big 12 Team
6 foot 7 forward Sedona Prince was selected to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team following a vote of Big 12 head coaches. She was an honorable mention selection, becoming just one of 19 players to receive Preseason All-Big 12 recognition.
This is the fourth preseason all-conference award Prince has gotten, receiving three consecutive Preseason All-Pac-12 Team honors at Oregon from 2020-2022. As the fourth Horned Frog ever to receive women's basketball Preseason All-Big 12 recognition, she is the first player since Lauren Heard in 2021-22 to earn the status.
Prince comes to TCU after starting 28 games for Oregon from 2020-2022, leading the Ducks to the NCAA Tournament in both seasons. After a torn ligament in her elbow in 2022, she had entered the 2023 WNBA Draft, but withdrew her name just days after former Oregon associate head coach Mark Campbell was announced as the new TCU head coach.
Look for Prince to make a massive impact for the Frogs this season, leading them to plenty of success.
