Daniel Jeremiah Groups Hooker Among "Franchise QBs"

In this story:
Quarterback Hendon Hooker has seen two drastic leaps in his stock: the week after the Alabama victory he became a household name, and the past month has elevated his draft stock.
Hooker is fighting to elevate his standing among the top quarterbacks. Bryce Young and CJ Stroud have cemented themselves as the two top signal callers in the class, though Florida's Anthony Richardson has been getting a lot of hype. Richardson and Levis are the favorites to be the third and fourth quarterbacks taken, but Hooker may have something to say about that.
He had an excellent week at the Reese's Senior Bowl, comes from a proven offense, and has plenty of snaps on his resume. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah recently released a mock draft, and in detailing the prospects mentioned he believes Hooker can be a franchise quarterback.
Daniel Jeremiah says they're potentially five franchise QBs in the 2023 class. Says it isn't one of those years where it is a can't-miss prospect as all the QBs have flaws. He says it is Bryce Young, a gap and the other guys. Would put Hendon Hooker in that group as well

This particular quarterback class carried a lot of hype entering the college season, but in the months since it has lost steam. It could be evaluators looking forward to the 2024 quarterback class, which carries names like Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Quinn Ewers.
Hooker has been making some noticeable off-field moves preparing for the draft. He signed with CAA Sports for his future representation. He is preparing for the NFL Combine in late-March, and franchises often prefer to connect prospects through their agents. Furthermore, several endorsements could be in line for Hooker after a prolific final season on Rocky Top.
