Daniel Jeremiah Believes Darnell Wright Should Be In Top Tackle Discussion

In this story:
Offensive tackle Darnell Wright was a fringe first-rounder after the 2022 season. He was a tough prospect to evaluate after the 2021 campaign and opted to return to school; Wright anchored the right side for quarterback Hendon Hooker, highlighted by an astounding showing against Alabama edge rusher and likely top-3 pick Will Anderson Jr.
However, evaluators weren't yet sold on him. It took an excellent showing at the Reese's Senior Bowl for Wright to cement himself as a top pick, and his athletic testing at the NFL Combine has thrust him into a new stratosphere.
Wright was one of the top tackles in Indianapolis. He brings a complete profile; he is a multi-year SEC starter, has strong athletic testing, and is an impressive human being. He would be a low-risk pick for anyone searching for an offensive lineman and may come off the board early.
There were some murmurs about where he stood in the predraft process. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah has now voiced an opinion on Wright. Jeremiah tweeted about Wright's resume, saying he believes Wright may become the No. 1 tackle in the draft.
Tennessee OT Darnell Wright keeps acing every test.

Excellent fall season vs elite comp ✔️
Strong all star game week ✔️
Impressive Combine workout ✔️
I think he belongs in the discussion as the top OT in this class.
He was one of the unheralded heroes of Tennessee's offense, but not for much longer. Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt and edge rusher Bryon Young turned in fantastic combine performances and may be first-round draft picks, but all of a sudden, Wright seems like the top Volunteer a month ahead of the draft.
