Rocky Top has seen some great moments, no doubt about it. Neyland Stadium, home of the Vols, holds over 100,000 people. It has proven to be an electric atmosphere throughout the years and has been home to many electrifying college football contests.

Perhaps the biggest one was this past season when Tennessee took down national powerhouse Alabama 52-49 in a slugfest that saw the goalposts compromised by Volunteer nation after the game. With the mix of culture, electricity, and home-field advantage, Neyland rivals just about every stadium you could name.

According to 247Sports, it may be the most intimidating place to play in College Football this season. In a recent article ranking the most intimidating CFB environments of 2023, the Vols home took the top spot for their Week 12 matchup against the two-time reigning champion Georgia Bulldogs.

In the article, author Brad Crawford remarks on two games from last season, including Bama, stating, "You couldn't hear yourself speak inside Neyland Stadium twice last season during Tennessee's wins over Alabama and Kentucky."

The article predicts that the same thing is going to happen in 2023. With all of the hype and buzz around Volunteer Football, there is no reason to believe it will not be this way. While SEC crowds are known to be extremely loud and passionate, the Tennessee faithful may take the cake this coming season.

With Georgia in possession of a fairly light schedule leading up to this game, the Dawgs could hold the nation's longest winning streak entering Knoxville. This would raise the stakes even higher and have Big Orange on 100 that Saturday in November. The atmosphere could be the most electric of the season, and 247Sports believes it very well will be.
