BREAKING: Purdue Falls Once Again

In this story:
While Tennessee lost both games this week, there is another shakeup toward the top of college basketball. The Purdue Boilermakers have lost again, this time to the unranked Northwestern Wildcats.
This drastically alters the landscape, as it should drop Purdue from that top spot. The Boilermakers have been trending down the past few weeks, and this loss cements that notion. They also lost to Indiana on the road, as forward Trayce Davis-Jackson had one of his best games on national television.
Houston seems like a favorite to be the No. 1 team come Monday. The Cougars are on a five-game winning streak after dropping an in-conference game to Temple in January.
Meanwhile, the Volunteers lost on two buzzer-beaters this week. Vanderbilt and Missouri both notched wins against Tennessee, both of whom were unranked entering each game.
They have now lost three of their last four games, with the sole win coming against then-No. 25 Auburn in a dismal shooting performance from both sides. The Volunteers have lost to three unranked opponents in that stretch, and only one appears a sure-fire bet for the tournament.
Therefore, Tennessee fans should expect a significant fall in the AP Poll this week. They entered last week at No. 6, falling four spots after losing to the Florida Gators. While the consensus was somewhat down on Tennessee, everyone has sold their stock after the Saturday loss to Missouri.
