2026 four-star corner Dorian Barney (Suwanee, Ga.) has narrowed his recruitment to 12 schools, including the Tennessee Volunteers.

Peachtree Ridge High School corner Dorian Barney commands an offer sheet that features programs like Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State, and USC. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Barney ranks as the No. 63 prospect in the 2026 class, and on Wednesday, he cut his recruitment to 12 schools.

Alabama, Clemson, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and USC will continue competing for the talented defender. Barney hasn't been to Knoxville, Tennessee, yet, but the coaching staff will push to get him there over the next few months.

Tennessee defensive backs coach Willie Martinez has worked hard at retooling his secondary through the high school ranks. This year will be a chance for some of the players he has recruited to see the field, and he'll use that in future pitches to these elite defensive back recruits. Barney is on everyone's radar early in the process, and we'll see where things progress.
