The Tennessee Volunteers have been recruiting players from a plethora of different classes, and while they are nearly finished in the class of 2027, they have made the 2028 and 2029 classes a priority.

While they're still building their board, which is to be expected, there are some players who will absolutely be on the recruiting board, as they seem to already be. This includes three players who are slated to compete on national television on Saturday.

This is a game that many Tennessee fans should be very excited for. While the Vols don't have a single commit in this contest, there are some players that fans could keep an eye on, as some of the Vols' top in-state targets play for this BGA team.

This includes arguably the best underclassman wide receiver in the country, Maddox Porter. Porter is a top Tennessee target regardless of class and is someone that they won't give up on. Porter is a 6'2 receiver who is only in his second season of high school football. By the time he is a senior, there is no telling what he will be measurement-wise, as he is already built well.

Porter holds every major offer there is to have and is going to be the main player many tune in to watch; however, there is another major wide receiver target that the Vols are after. That player is Maximus Curry, a 5'10 receiver who is as good as it gets when it comes to route running in the state of Tennessee. Curry would be a great slot option for the Vols to get in the 2028 class, and he is someone who remains a top in-state target for the junior class.

Curry is also a player who holds major offers, but his love for Tennessee is known. If the Vols continue to push hard, there is a solid chance that he will land with the Vols, although some major pushes from other teams like Vanderbilt could get in the way. Curry ranks as a high four-star prospect and is one to watch closely in this contest.

Another player that is worth monitoring is Koehn Dial, who is a very gifted offensive lineman from Battle Ground Academy. Dial is a massive 6'8 prospect with legit Power 4 offers. He continues to be a top target for many teams, and is someone the Vols would love to add to their class of 2028 offensive line. This would be a massive pickup for the Vols, literally, as they would be adding a player who has proven to be a great contributor since the earlier years of high school.

Dial is a four-star prospect, but remains to push closer and closer to five-star status. It is unknown if he will ever make it to that level, but regardless, one team will get a steal when it comes to the 2028 class, and the Vols have hopes it will be them.
