Jac'Qawn McRoy Narrows Recruitment

In this story:
Tennessee has now made the cut for two top-end 2024 offensive tackles. Jac'Qawn McRoy cut his list of suitors to ten on Saturday, a few weeks after offensive tackle Daniel Calhoun included Tennessee in his top schools.
McRoy is down to Tennessee, Auburn, Oregon, LSU, Arkansas, Miami, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, and Ole Miss. He's been heavily linked to the Auburn Tigers and has visited since they hired new head coach Hugh Freeze.

Recruiting services are split on McRoy's national standing. Nonetheless, his 6-8 and 340 lbs. frame is easily projectable and interests many SEC schools. Recruiting departments will always take gambles on prospects with the physical prerequisites to play high-level football.
He has received four offers since his junior season ended. He was in Knoxville in October for the Alabama game. McRoy plays high school football for the same school that Tennessee wideout Squirrel White starred for.
The Volunteers have done an excellent job recruiting high-caliber skill players, but they will need some strong offensive linemen to block for them. McRoy could eventually be that down the road, meaning Tennessee will be fighting for his services until his commitment.
