Kaleb Beasley Affirms Commitment Amid Recruitment Rumors

Reports indicated that Tennessee Volunteers corner commit Kaleb Beasley is exploring other options, but the prized defender underscored his pledge with a social media post.

We hear it every year - recruiting isn't done until there's a signature on a letter of intent, and even then, the transfer portal makes player movement easy. Recruits want to maximize their experience and thoroughly evaluate the best landing spot for them, making it more than understandable for Tennessee corner commit Kaleb Beasley to tour other programs.

However, there's been some recent noise about Beasley's pledge. Some fans were worried by a recent visit to Notre Dame, a program that has been highly interested in Beasley. While he enjoyed his visit, sources confirm that Beasley remains firmly committed to the Vols.

Beasley posted to his Twitter account the night before traveling to South Bend. The post entitled three photos, all with references to Tennessee. He captioned the picture, "Home." The Vols offer him a lot; their scheme matches his physical prerequisites, and they run a lot of man blitzes. Beasley's high school, Lipscomb Academy, has become nationally known for letting their corners play bump and run, and Beasley flourishes in that role.

Other programs getting active in his recruitment makes sense; he's been a big riser this cycle and tallied six interceptions as a junior. However, the thought of decommitting hasn't seriously entered Beasley's mind. He's actively thinking about how to better himself and Tennessee, not at all concerned about the outside noise.

Of course, things can change. Recruiting is fluid, and his visiting other programs always leaves the door open. Nonetheless, he currently remains firmly committed to Tennessee, a massive win for this coaching staff that needed to land secondary help in the 2024 class.
