Travis Smith Jr. Returning To Campus Amidst Heated Recruiting Battle

2025 four-star wide receiver Travis Smith Jr. (Atlanta, Ga.) will return to campus this weekend to visit the Tennessee Volunteers.
Westlake High School wide receiver Travis Smith Jr. is one of the big-name targets that the Tennessee Volunteers continue to swing at in the 2025 class. Smith ranks as the No. 90 prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, and has returned to Knoxville, Tennessee, this weekend for at least the third time to see spring practices.
Smith spoke about the interest he has in the University of Tennessee with On3's Chad Simmons. Their up-tempo offense will always be attractive to premium wide receiver targets, and Smith is near the top of their board. They have an uphill battle against the Georgia Bulldogs but can make a big impression over the next stretch.
"That’s the offense I believe I’d gel into the easiest. (Wide receivers) coach [Kelsey] Popeand (head) coach [Josh] Heupel, they’ve been on me a lot ever since last year. They’ve really shown me a lot of communication." Travis Smith Jr. to On3 on Tennessee
