Every Texas Fan Said the Same Thing After Watching Madison Booker vs. Michigan

In this story:
The Texas Longhorns are once again on the cusp of a national championship, as for the second straight year, the Longhorns have battled through the NCAA Tournament and have reached the Final Four in consecutive seasons.
Head coach Vic Schaefer and his squad have steamrolled their way throughout the month of March as the Longhorns have been dominant in the NCAA Tournament, cruising to the Final Four after in the Elite Eight they took care of the Michigan Wolverines by 36 points, winning 77-41.
The Longhorns have been led by junior forward Madison Booker, who has been dominant throughout the tournament, and in her performance against the Wolverines, the forward got Texas fans talking.
Madison Booker Draws Comparison to Legendary Longhorn

Booker ended the Longhorns' dominant win in the Elite Eight as the game's leading scorer, dropping 19 points while shooting 8 of 13 from the field to go along with seven rebounds, one assist, and two steals.
Catching the eyes of fans online was a fadeaway mid-range shot along the baseline from Booker that looks oddly similar to a former great in the burnt orange in Longhorn legend and NBA superstar Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant.
Take a look at the shot for yourself.

Connection Goes Deeper than the Court

The connection between the current Texas women's basketball star and Durant goes deeper than playstyle and jersey number, as Booker also dons Durant's patented No. 35 jersey, the same number he wore during his year in Austin.
As Durant and the Longhorns recently announced an NIL program that allows select student athletes to further the establishment of their brands, with Booker being the first athlete selected to be a part of the program, becoming the first Texas Athlete to wear exclusive KD Footwear and Apparel.
"It means a lot to be a Nike athlete," Booker said in the announcement of the partnership. "Honestly, it's a blessing. I think that's also part of why I came to UT – the opportunities here are amazing."
The partnership hit the court in the Longhorns' First Round victory against Missouri State as Booker debuted the "Orange Crush" version of the KD 19s. In her new kicks, Booker ended the First Round win with 14 points, shooting 4 of 8 from the field, along with 12 rebounds and three assists.
